You are the link between design engineering and the workshop — turning concepts into working hardware, testing them, and feeding what you learn back into development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manufacturing prototype parts across different processes — additive, machining and joining — including selecting the appropriate process for each
Building, testing and iterating prototypes through to functional maturity
Supporting trials and technical studies, and feeding the results back into development
Developing the products for assembly and manufacture, in close coordination with design engineering
Assembly, wiring and commissioning of our systems through to customer delivery
Helping shape our workshop equipment: machines, tools, fixtures and test equipment
Documenting assembly sequences and test steps as the basis for later series production
YOUR PROFILE
Completed vocational training as an industrial mechanic, mechatronics technician, precision mechanic, model maker or a comparable qualification
Several years of experience in prototyping, special-purpose machinery or a comparable environment
Practical command of several manufacturing processes, in particular 3D printing, milling and turning
A strong willingness to take on new processes and technologies independently
Confident with technical drawings and bills of materials; CAD knowledge an advantage
Basic knowledge of electrics and wiring an advantage
An independent, structured way of working in an environment without established pre-series processes
Category B driving licence
